(07 Sep) சென்னை:மலையாளிகளின் முக்கிய பண்டிகையான ஓணம் பண்டிகை 9ம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இதையொட்டி, தமிழகத்தில் மலையாளிகள் அதிகளவில் வசிக்கும் சென்னை, கோவை, நீலகிரி, திருப்பூர், கன்னியாகுமரி ஆகிய ஐந்து மாவட்டங்களில் உள்ள அனைத்து அரசு பள்ளி, கல்லூரி மற்றும் அலுவலகங்களுக்கு 9ம் தேதி, தமிழக அரசு விடுமுறை அறிவித்துள்ளது. இதற்கு பதிலாக, சென்னை மாவட்டத்தில் 10ம் தேதி வேலை நாளாகவும், கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டத்தில் அடுத்த மாதம் 8ம் தேதி வேலை நாளாகவும் இருக்கும். பிற மாவட்டங்களில் எந்தெந்த தேதியில் வேலை நாள் என்பது குறித்து பின்னர் அறிவிக்கப்படும்.
